Maayavan - Tamil Movie Review

Production: C V Kumar
Genere : U / A
Director: C V Kumar
Music : Ghibran
Cast: Sundeep Kishan, Lavanya Tripathi, jackie Shroff, Daniel Balaji etc

A sci-fiction movie tailed to tamil audiance.

Plot: A series of murder happens with same theme and identification and everytime when the hero finds the killer, killer kills himself but murder continues with same theme. How the hero finds the villan forms the remaining story

Analysis & Performance:  Sundeep has started to create his own audiance base in Tamil industry while he comes from Telugu movie world. He has done his role to the perfection, his emotional scenes, fighting, acting all are improved from earlier movies. Only drawback was having his mustache and seeing it in close shots looks like a artificial. His body tone also fits into cop role. Lavanya as a doctor plays her role neatly. Other star casts like Daniel Balaji, Jackie Shroff all have done their job neatly

Direction, Music & Screenplay: C V Kumar has done his homework on the sci-fi movies and had narrated the story well. Screenplay has been by Nalan Kumaraswamy and there is no lags in the screenplay and it is neatly executed. Does not look like his first movie as he had weaved the story well and opens the knots one after another. They way the sci-fi concept has been explained is good even for  or lay man to understand, only draw back is they could have avoided some of the english terms so that it connects with all types of audiences. The production seems top notch and makes us believe on the concept and story. Music has lifted the movie tempo, however could have had songs much better. Only two songs is the plus for the movie as it does not interrupts the flow of the story

Flipside: Early part of the movie was little slow which could have been avoided and also the 2nd song is unnecessary which could have also been avoided.

Overall , a decent thriller
My view: 4/5
