A one sided love story laced with comedy and chennai local flavour

Plot: Vaibhav as Murali falls in one sided love with a girl from college day and never proposes, how he proposes when he meets her after college, did she accepted his love, have they got married at the end is all answered in this 150 mins movie

Analysis & Performance: Vaibhav has nailed it to perfection, one of the best movies that we have seen from Vaibhav with performance. Be it his attitude, the dance steps like local chennaiate, his dialogue delivery, his acting performance, his emotions ( just before interval ) is all pefect to the core and we need more of similar Vaibhav in future movies of nice and niche scripts. PRIYA BHAVANI SHANKAR is a welcome addition to tamil movie fretinity and her previous serial experience has given her the much wanted fan following. Her acting is also more matured and delivered it to the script. Her expressions, emotions were are good, seeing a tamil female lead with homely appearence after a long time and wish her to continue in the same mode and not to change her track, If she picks right script, director and production house, should could be of another Sai Pallavi to our industry. Other key person is Vivek Prasanna, while we had seen him more of villan and assitant to villans, here he had a meaty role to play and he did that with ease, the comedy and scenes between Vaibhav and Vivek Prasanna are fun and keeps audieances engaging. Induja as Sudar is a nice addition and also had a lengthy role to play as Vaibhav sister and she does that easily.

Music, Screenplay, Direction: Songs are good to watch and here, there are no romatic songs and it is suprise to see that in this kind of movie genere, all the songs are of local flavor and keeps us tap our feet but most of the songs are not in the memory. Re-recording by Santhosh is good . Other key aspect of this movie is dialogues and timing of dialogues, the dialogue writter needs appreciated for his timing and comic sense, this is the key for the success of this movie. Director needs to be appreciated as this is not a niche or unique script, run of the mill script like a low class guys runs behind a way he high class girl, but the way he presented is what it matters and he did that with so perfection.

Flipside : Songs could have been much better to stay in memory. other than that there are not much complaints in this movie and production value is right for the script it demanded. Movie could have collected more money if it had released on one of the solo weekends than competing with Mersal, while this shows producers strong beleif on the script and movie, timing may not be right as Mersal is also minting money.

Overall , a much watch rom-comedy for movie goers
My view: 3.75/5

TagLine: Rom comedy that keeps you laugh all along
