Vellaikaran - Review

Production: 24AM Studios
Genere : U / A
Director: M Raja
Music : Anirudh
Cast: Sivakarthikeyan, Nayanthara, Fahad , Prakash Raj, Sneha etc

A Socio economic thriller

Plot: A job less guy lands in a marketting job and while learning marketting he understands how general public is being impacted and how he brings that to lime light forms the curx of the story.

Analysis & Performance:  Sivakarthikeyan plays the lead roles and does his work as expected. First time we can see him a serious movie which itself is refresing as he switches from his regular gear. Though he still needs to improve in acting as we can see his comic sense / tones comes up on some serious situations as well and this is well visible during the screen sharing between Fahad or Prakash. Fahad for the first time in tamil movie, have watched most of his malayalam movie and he is a great actor and demonstrates that again here with ease of acting. How casually he acts and emotes is learning for upcoming actors. Nayanthara as female lead, does her job with limited scope.

Direction, Music & Screenplay: Next to Siva, Anirudh is key. All his songs were hit and he is going miles after every movie. Direction & screenplay are highlights on certain scenes and it also shows the amount of research that has gone into this movie making by director

Flipside: Seems lengthy as there are scenes that can be done in crisp came out as preaching which could have avoided. There are more scenes with lot of dialogues and information which gets lost in the flow and could have avoided.

Overall , a genuine try
My view: 3/5

Tagline ; Not close to Rajini's vellaikaran, but this one can still be watchable.
