Thiruttu Payale 2 - Tamil Movie Review

Production: AGS - Kalapthi S Aghoram, S Ganesh, S Suresh
Genere : U / A - Thriller
Director: Susi Ganeshan
Music : Vidhyasagar
Cast: Bobby Simha, Prasanna, Amala Paul etc

A must watch film for girls with the current trend as social monitoring becomes more critical these days

Plot: A honest corrupt cop, A social womenizer, a family women. How they are getting linked through internet and what happens after that forms the story

Analysis & Performance:  Bobby Simha and Prasanna both have equal footage, just that Boobby is less villan compared to Prasanna, that is the difference. Both have acted well. Bobby as a cop does his job well and his emotions were apt when he hears the tapped phone conversations. Prasanna as a social womenizer does his job well and he is neat as a villan, just that his face still requires some more ruggedness to be a full fledged villan. Amala Paul does her role neatly and it was infact a decent role with limited glamour than audiances anticipated based on earlier version of the movie. Also this movie does not have any link to earlier version of thirutu paayale part 1. Vijay Sethupathi voice narration was a suprise element at the start of the movie.

Direction, Music & Screenplay:Music and RR is good and shows Vidyasagar experience. One song is good and stays in the memory. Direction is neat and action packed. Director has done his homework on phone tapping and has the right setup to make audiances beleive it. Dialogues were perfect, like "your father is looking for son-in-law while you are looking for a friend" or "God himself takes his food remotely" or a dialogue of binami to owner as "car is yours but not yours" etc. Screenplay is a neat with good pace. Interval block and twist was an interesting element. The hero, heroine meet up was shown in one song which was a good move by the director which helps to maintain the movie pace.

Flipside : Story is predictable that lets down the suprise elements and twists. Second half was little lengthy and definitely predictable that makes the movie dis-integrated.

Overall , a good movie and definite watch for the current generation

My view: 3.5/5

Tagline ; A definite watch
