A system cleaning process in Medical field

Plot: Story of a Magician vijay, a Doctor Vijay and a flashback father Vijay of their relationship and what happened to them with a message to medical system society

Analysis & Performance: Vijay is at ease in all these 3 roles. While there is no difference in appearance between Magician and Doctor, there were slight change for father Vijay. He is in all the frames for all 170 mins of the film run time and a full treat for his fans. He seems to grow younger every year and it is there for all of us to see. His dancing, comic timings, dialogue delivery were all upto the mark along with punch lines. Both Kajal and Samantha had only 5 - 10 mins role while Kajal role falls flat, the little romance in Samantha part is feel good factor.
lot was expected from Vadivelu combo but he just comes along with both Vijay roles but registers his re-entry presence. Others like Sathyaraj, Mottai Rajendran, Yogi etc are just coming and going as this is a full fledged Vijay movie. Comparatively Nithya Menon had a decent role to play and she did that neatly.

Music, Screenplay, Direction: As always, re-recording has been good however other than 1 - 2 songs rest were all ok kind off. DOP by Vishnu does not seem to be a first movie person as he had nailed it to perfect. Screenplay is decent as all the 3 dots are connected well. Fights were well choreographed and executed perfectly. Some of the dialogues were powerful and impact ful like "Not Madarasi, he is Maduraivasi" etc. Movie does has lot of political references like current GST issue, demonitization issue, digital money etc. Also not sure the necessity to have MGR references from introduction scene and a theatre scene where Vijay and MGR appears like walking together, these might have been placed specifically to test the fans pulse.

Flipside : Story wise this is an old story and we knew what is going to be next and also can relate to some old movies of triple action with medical background and revenge. Heroines were not used to the potential so does the other characters like Sathyaraj etc. Movie seems to be little slow / dragging during 2nd half, the flashback scenes tend to be little lengthy as well. There were some overdo of magician activities which could have been avoided as it started to bore after some point.

Overall , decent movie and good to watch Vijay all along 170 mins
My view: 3.5/5

TagLine: A triple mass masala treat to Vijay fans
