Plot: This is a first gripping Indian web series originated in India, while there were many short films and Serials in the past, the first web series created in India with India background. Both the production house and Authors were intelligent to pick the right background for this web series which is Cricket which will never be ignored in India, also the kind of marketing done by Amazon is tremendous to gain attention as this was their first web series in India with original content. The prime video is also kept at 499 / year which is way low and attractive as most other competitors are 10 times more than this cost.
Analysis & Performance: The series is an inside look of cricket game which goes hand - in hand with politics in India, the story is set with domestic cricket season background with both indian and international crickets and you know what this is. This story revolves around the game set with conflicting interests where power and money are important aspects along with fame. Also it takes courage for main stream actor like Vivek to be part of webseries which is still new to Indian viewers
Screenplay & Story : With cricket background, the author and production house had already scored home run. With strong story and screenplay this was kept intact. There are moments of slowness which nothing glaring to mention. The characters are picked up and their setup was done in such a way that audiences can easily relate to each of the characters to their imagination which is the huge success. The performance of Vivek Oberai and Richa stood apart as they steer the series with their larger than life presence and tremendous acting. Production has been rich which shows that producers had good confidence on the script and script did not put them down as well. With star cast, rich production, strong script and easily relatable characters to audience imagination this series has done everything right from ground zero. Title of the each series was also related to cricket like inner circle, FoW (fall of wicket ) etc shows the author did good research and had great thought process to execute his script to his needs
Flipside : Flipside may be some of the characters would have well etched with indian background in mind, otherwise this is a good script. Vivek Oberai as Vikrant was series all through the series, may be something could have done better to show is multiple shades than just series part of it, next is Richa as zarina Mallik who is equal to Vivek's acting. Both have done fabulous job in this series. Others like Tanuj ( as Vayu) and Angad Bedi ( as Aravind) have done equal performance to lift the script and maintain the audience without distractions.
Overall, I liked watching this series and now have renew my prime to continue to watch the next season of this inside edge
