Tamilnadu Chennai
New movie Ticket rate / new cinema ticket price
The confusion and debate on the movie tickets seems to be settled atleast for now after the meeting between TNFC and tamilnadu government. Is that benefit for people, we know the answer, starting 2017, the common man is paying more and more towards tax and now this is also getting added to that list.
Will common man come to movie theatres to watch movies, well
the answer is not known to anyone and only time will say, Atleast what I can do
is to share what is going to be the price of per ticket and how much it is
going to cost for a common man
Below is what we had been paying before July 2017 for Movie,
this is just a base price without any other charges including online charges

Now we have GST which got implemented from July which
resulted in 28% tax above Rs 100 and 18% for Rs 100 and below ticket fares. So

While with the revised price , common public were little hesitant
to come to theatres with family, again this is not just entertainment but
overall GST on all goods and services, things were slowly got settled and
common public were also getting adopted to this as they need to shed more money
from their pocket than earlier and tamilnadu government allowed theatres to
increase the base price which was like same since 2006. The base was increased by
25% and now allowed increase price is

While this is still being assessed for impact, ET tax was
set at 10% , TFPC got into strike and announced no new movie will be released
as it is double tax, today TFPC and govt got into agreement of 8% ET along with
28% GST, so below is an indicate assessment on the ticket fare with 25% hike +
